The mining lease for the Nordic Mines AB Laiva gold mine project, which is 15 km south of the Port of Raahe in Finland, was granted in September 2008, two months after Nordic listed on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic Exchange. The planning permit from Raahe city followed in October 2008. The environmental permit came through in November 2009.
